WASH Alliance Kenya has been a key non state actor that supports Government in the overall achievement of goals in the WASH sector since 2011. We are mandated to stimulate linkages and strategic partnership among state and non-state WASH actors in enhancing their response towards WASH needs of poor and vulnerable Kenyans.

Today, we work across Kenya with a diverse range of communities from urban informal settlements in Nairobi, remote rural areas in the central-North, to coastal region.  We have increased access to water, sanitation and hygiene services to communities across the country.

We harness the energy and expertise of communities, NGOs, the national government, local governments, international organizations and the private sector to achieve sustainable WASH solutions. Working with and through our member organizations, we have been providing WASH services through rural water supply projects, promoting improvement of rural and urban sanitation and hygiene, improving  school water, sanitation and hygiene, promoting the provision of credit facility to finance WASH investments and also lobby and advocate for increased local WASH investments.

We support institutions and form consortiums to accelerate access to WASH for all. We also work directly with Government agencies to strengthen national WASH programs and help ensure that Government policies promote equity and inclusion in WASH.

WASH Alliance Kenya envisions a world in which all people have sustainable access to WASH services while its mission is to promote an enabling environment for provision of innovative and sustainable WASH services to vulnerable groups through alliance members.
